ELECTION AND INSTALLATION OF NEW OFFICERS

After a successful election in October 2012, the new officers were installed.  We see some of them here after our thanksgiving mass and turn out held on the 2nd Sunday of Advent which is a special day for us since the readings of the day focus on St. John the Baptist

Death of a Sister - Noble Sister Cecilia Pouwele Karbo

Queen of Peace Ladies Auxiliary#510 announce with sorrow the death of Noble Sister Cecilia Pouwele Karbo on the 4th December 2012 after a short illness. She received her Queen of Saints Award in October this year. She was one of our elder Sisters who sometimes gave spiritual reflections and was always there to listen to sisters.  She was a nurse and in between her busy work schedule still found time to attend our meetings. We see her above flanked by District 8 Officers  who visited her after her illness. You will be sadly missed.  Rest in peace Noble Sister

CADET AND JUNIORS HOLD COOKING DAY

On the 23rd December 2012 the Cadet and Juniors held a cookout where they prepared some local dishes for each other, most of the ingredients coming from senior Sisters and Brothers. The menue consisted of Jolloff Rice, Waakye (Rice and beans) Banku, Okro stew, Gravy, Fried Red Fish, Fried chicken and Chilli Sauce.  The day was very successful as we can see from the pictures.  On hand were the Directress and Assistant Directress together with some senior sisters. We also see the immediate Past President about to sample the first dish
