Bishop Dedicates Parish House
The Metropolitan Arch Bishop, Most Rev Charles Palmer Buckle dedicated the new Parish House of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, an outstation of Queen of Peace. Brothers,Sisters,Cadets and Juniors turned out for the dedication of the Parish House on the 10th August and the Thanksgiving Mass which was held on the 11th of August 2013. Our Cadets and Juniors had their pictures taken with the Arch Bishop
Brothers & Sisters attend the 9th Biennial Accra Grand Convention
From the
17th to the 21st of July 2013, Brothers and Sisters participated in the
9th Biennial Accra Grand Convention which was a historic one since it
marked the end of the Accra Grand Commandery & Ladies Auxiliary as
we know it. De-centralisation has taken place and we now have
Accra
East Grand Commandery & Ladies Auxiliary, Accra West Grand
Commandery & Ladies Auxiliary and Koforidua-Ho Grand Commandery and
Ladies Auxiliary.(we see some of the participants from Queen of Peace
and above we have a birds eye view of the Convention Auditorium during
the Memorial Mass
CONGRATULATIONS - 2ND AND 3RD DEGREE RECEPIENTS
On the 20th July 2013, ten Brothers received their 2nd and 3rd Degree at the last Accra Grand Convention held at Ho. Wedding of a Sister
On
the 6th of July 2013 a past Officer of the Queen of Peace Ladies
Auxiliary #510, Sister Jacinta Ganye tied the knot with Brother Bernard
Moro, a past Grand Knight of the Knights of Marshall. The wedding took
place at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Ashaley Botwe and
was followed with a reception at the Institute of Local Government,
Madina.
8TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATED AT ST BARNABAS CATHOLIC CHURCH
Our 8th Anniversary fell on the 7th May 2013. We celebrated the Thanksgiving Mass on the 19th May 2013 at
St. Barnabas Catholic Church, Haatso. A presentation of Ghc5,000 was made
towards the Church's purchase of a tabernacle.The
Parish Priest Rev Fr. Yaw Osei and the Parish Pastoral Council Chairman
- Mr. Owusu received the donation on behalf of the Church. We also used the occasion to boost our membership. A wonderful Lunch was served at the Queen of Peace Hall complex which was enjoyed by all who attended.

THE KNIGHTS - 14th District Commandery
THE LADIES AUXILIARY - Accra East District 3
The Ladies Co-ordinating Committee was established to co-ordinate the activities of the three Grand Ladies Auxiliaries in Ghana with Sis. Josephine Sey as the first Chairperson.
The Ladies Auxiliary have been very active in organising in all the five countries in West Africa. The first Ladies Auxiliary was organised in Liberia followed by Philomena's Auxiliary at Sekondi, then Kumasi, Keta and Denu respectively all in Ghana. The ladies are a strong support of the Knights whenever they turnout.(A turnout is when the Order appears for an event in full military uniform)
JUNIOR ORDER
Running concurrently with the Knights and Ladies are the Cadet Commanderies & Junior Auxiliaries. These are the nursery stages of the Order where young boys and girls, as future leaders, are groomed to take over from the older Knights and Ladies.
Meeting Days of Commandery and Auxilliary of Queen of Peace, Madina - All meetings are held at the Queen of Peace Catholic School premises.
The Knights Commandery meet the 2nd Saturday of the month at 9.00 am.
The Ladies Auxiliary meet the 2nd Saturday of the month at 8.00 am.
The Cadet Commandery meet the 1st Sunday of the month at 9.30 a.m. after First Mass.
The Junior Auxiliary meet the 1st Sunday of the month at 9.30 a.m. after the First Mass.
The Patron Saint of the Ladies Auxiliary is The Blessed Virgin Mary and her colours are Blue for love and White for purity
The Patron Saint of the Knights is St. John the Baptist
The Order is involved in the following activities:

Charitable Benevolence
Social/Fraternal Activity
Athletics/Military Drill
Community/Patriotism
